Functional fitness is all about being able to move with grace, balance, and co-ordination. In your everyday life, you drop and pick up items; you buy, pack and unpack groceries; you walk to and from your car and you get in and out of it too! When you are functionally fit, your safety improves, because your body will be trained with equipment that challenges your balance and co-ordination. We train to mimic everyday life, to make you feel more confident, stronger, and to teach your body where it is in time and space. Each of your body parts gets special attention as we take your joints through a full range of motion: this type of training is more like playing with the added bonus of taxing your central nervous system for fantastic fat burning, body shaping results.
Don’t be intimidated: each of the clients I work with start with basics and we work our way to more difficult and challenging exercises. You can do this too!
This mode of training is a must for everyone that wants to remain fit and strong. Your whole body will get involved in each exercise, improving health and fitness from the top of your head (creating new pathways in your brain), to the tips of your balancing toes.
Practical fitness components are available and readily achieved. You can build a foundation of strength and agility for injury free movement, while accomplishing daily activities with ease. Endurance, agility, and range of motion improve, when functional fitness is employed as a strategy for a long and healthy, limber life. Let’s get started right away: functional fitness can be yours to enjoy.
