Antichrist Solution

I am learning about spiritual warfare, dear reader. It is an eye opening experience, one that perhaps, you too, will engage in, even if it is only here, with me, as an introduction? Maybe, you are already quite familiar, and we are being equipped and powered up, together? In either case, it is time, that we stop ignoring the facts, and start taking charge as spiritual beings in a world that is confused and being led astray.
What are the facts, you ask?
- you have a body
- you have a spirit enlivening your body
- you are influenced by God, the devil, the world, your own inclinations
- you have choices
- you have heard two sides of the story
- there are only two sides of the story
- you determine your destiny
- you are accountable for your destiny
- you are accountable for your destiny
- you read correctly: you are accountable for your destiny
March 14th, 2017
Yesterday was a significant anniversary for me: it marked three years. My son, he was travelling the highway of life at top speed, recklessly, endangering himself and those that happened to be in his immediate vicinity, physically and metaphorically. March 14th, 2017, was one of the worst and best days of my life. It is my story, his story, and it just so happens, it is everyones story dear reader, because we are intrinsically, intricately interconnected, you, me and every other human in this incredible world. We share DNA and are undeniably related, resembling one another as Gods created-in-his-image beings (but I digress).
Recall the past
As I recall the past, I am reminded of the present, while light shines brightly into the front room of my house, the one that became a haven of prayer and healing. My house is a sanctuary, a sacred place, one of choice:
“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD”
(Joshua 24:15).
Dear one, when my son returned home, he was unwell. I have written about this in the past, and again, hesitate to share too many details, because it is partially my story, and primarily his testimony. I will share this: I am the mother of a son delivered from the grip of demonic influence; we not only survived, we are thriving. My son is sound of mind, excelling in his education at a Christian College, and I have many to thank for these outstanding truths. But first…
We were a house divided dear reader:
“If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand” (Mark 3:25).
My former husband and I did not agree. He is of this world and I belong to another. He is currently of the flesh and I am of the Spirit. Look again, at scripture:
“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.”
The gods of your ancestors were no gods, pagan gods, demons falsely representing themselves as gods. They want us to indulge dear one, in all the things our bodies desire. You know what I mean here, don’t you? Sex without marriage bonds, food, money making, mind numbing and dumbing alcoholic binging: worldly unchecked freedom to do and say and go and be whatever our little hearts desire. The sad fact is this: we humans sometimes choose what seems right for us, over what is righteous in our relationships with one another. Which brings me back to the spiritual realm, and the battle that ensues in our minds, our hearts, our very beings. We get to choose:
“But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.“
God was very clear
God was very clear with me dear reader, when my former husband vacated the premises, and God directed me thusly:
“This kind can come out only by prayer” (Mark 9:29).
My son required spiritual healing, forgiveness of sins, recovery from the imposition of a world that sells immorality, and attachment to self-advancement, self-indulgence, self-aggrandizement and secular emptiness. When our house was no longer divided, I went face down and begged the God of eternity for his Divine Intervention and I praise God adding, many loving saints joined me there.
I claimed Gods promises
I claimed Gods promises and declared no demonic rights to my gift from God, my Matthew. Our story may be your story? What we have experienced and been fortified through, may be what you are currently suffering? The devil is real, it is our resistance to believing this that has families crumbling and crushed under the weight of his heavy heel. Scripture is the most powerful antichrist solution known to man. Look here at the astounding truth we have in Luke:
“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you” (Luke 10:19).
My house had to become His Holy Household, dedicated to our God everyday in every-way possible. Scripture promises this to those who choose to believe:

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh, so the the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit” (Romans 8:1-4).
Influences in your life
Dear reader, I tell you this. You are undeniably a product of the biggest influences in your life, starting with your parents. Once you have reached an age of awareness and accountability, you are at choice, and it is up to you to decide:
- Who will it be that I answer to now?
- Who do I deem worthy of my attentions, affections, affiliations, and adoration?
You have a Father/father, and He/he belongs to one of two worlds. The one you pledge allegiance to is evidenced in your life. You cannot have it both ways: their is only One Way, and you, get, to choose.
Post Script: My family is faithful. When my immediate family fell apart, there remained many standing, sitting, kneeling, face down praying for my son, my mom, and me. We are eternally grateful for each prayer warrior, those near and far, the ones we have yet to learn about and will meet one day in this life, or the next.
God is, indeed, very very good.
